After Thrones of Britannia, which was classified in the new Total War Saga schedule, the historic strategy franchise is preparing to return to spring 2019 with a new episode in good standing. On the menu, nothing less than the fall of the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period during which the main forces struggled for the domination of China.
This trailer of the upcoming Creative Assembly unveils a first glimpse of the Campaign Mode map with its beautiful valleys and mountains and showcases warlord Sun Jian, the Jiangdong Tiger. Convinced that he was chosen by fate to be the real Emperor of China after discovering the Imperial Seal, this Han officer gathers his children and his soldiers to write history without relying on the help of others lords.
Recall that Total War: Three Kingdoms will offer two modes: Classic and Romance. The first will be based directly on The Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms for the sake of authenticity and will focus on management, while the second will focus more on the characters based on Luo Guanzhong’s 14th century novel, it includes fictionalized elements in order to make the story more epic. Incidentally, Luo Guanzhong also published another important Chinese novel named Au Bord de l’Eau, which is the basis for a certain Konami RPG saga.
